The drawings are an investigation into naturalist studies. There are stone drawings, rose portraits and pictures of everyday plants. Additionally – as part of my travel logs – there is a series of cemetary views in progress.

There exists a relation between the gaze of the painter and the timelessness/ephemerality of the object. In case of the stones and cemetaries, the ephemerality rests on side of the artist. In case of the rose/plant portraits, it is the rose that dies while it is touched and retouched by the painters gaze.
